Going Forth in the North is the title of a project that Retail Resource is leading on behalf of the Bournemouth Chamber of Trade and Commerce, and with Council funding, in North Bournemouth.
Trying to work with a redundant Trade Group to reestablish and build communication links with the local community, community centres and businesses. Looking to guide all towards marketing this area which is a little tired and in need of some care and attention.
I have funding to deliver some training sessions on window display and customer service but may blend this training funding pot towards group activity with a new workshop I have built called 'Sharpening your Retail Skills'. This focusses on the benefits of independent retailers working together, discussing their issues and identifying their needs re training - leading to further refined courses and group working. First time I will have tried this but I have a super trainer working with me who has led retailers in Devon to open their minds and work differently - will it suit Dorset? We shall see!
